right now im trying to get my t61 ready for aps..
i have tp_smapi hdaps and hdapsd installed. furthermore i have managed to install hdapsgl-applet and it works fine
tp_smapi and the hdaps driver are started during starup and it works.
the thing is, that i can't start hdapsd (output: open(protect_file): No such file or directory)
i think this is because i have not patched the kernel (pae-2.6.25.16 ) with the protect patch..
but i am not that sure if i mangae to do this, because according to what i've read on thinkwiki.org this patch only works with kernels up to version 2.6.25.16
so i would have do downgrade my kernel first and that is a strange thing..
or is the newer kernel(the one i use) already patched??
i could use some help on this
another question i have is whether the thinkpads comming with sled10 have a working aps-software preinstalled?
