I need Linux for my schoolwork so I wonder is it safe to instal Ubuntu on G470? Did anyoone have any experience with this?

I got debian running on it for 3months at least ...
it requiere a few tweaks (DSDT) but you will find them , if not pm me
tell us your bios version too...

How about Ubunutu, not Debian?

I guess you mean 40cn25ww ? where did you bought it ?
1st think to do is to backup this one it is precious since it is unreleased
I use debian because It feeds my needs most of our tricks should work fine on ubuntu , as long as your distro has GNU inside ...
Something else you can do for better support is uploading requested data at :

I suppose you rr affected by the fan issue , TZ00 is not working ...
