Advanced Mini Dock Trouble

Hi there, at the time of installation my  "Advanced" Mini Dock already caused trouble: no connection to either my Travel keyboard nor my printer, because USB ports seemed to be deactivated by/on the docking station.

Now recently I disconnected my T500 form the Mini Dock, and on reconnecting this problem returned, no connection to external keyboard and printer -- to solve it, I probably have to go over the USB ports in BIOS again. But what do I have this docking station for, in the first place ....???

Anyone know what causes the problem/how to solve it? Thanks in advance,
