Lenovo 4337-10U docking station

I have a Lenovo 4337-10U docking station for use with a Windows 7 Pro Lenovo T420S Thinkpad.

Can I remove the laptop from the dock while the computer is running?  Or must I turn the laptop off first?

Thank you

Thank you. I appreciate that. I also read that it is a good idea to suspend before undocking (which makes sense anyway if you are going to carry the machine away).   Thanks again.

Re: Lenovo 4337-10U docking station

you don't have to suspend, just push the release button and pull off the laptop.

I think Matt Kohut did a blog about it, but i can't seem to find it.

Re: Lenovo 4337-10U docking station

I know suspending is not mandatory, but I want to encourage clients to stabilize their computers before moving them. In many cases, they are remove the computer to put in their pack to leave.  Thanks.
