ThinkPad Bluetooth mouse scroll wheel and left button not working - Again

I thought my problem was solved but, I spoke too soon.  My Bluetooth mouse worked perfectly for 2 months after my first post (presumably from updating drivers) but now often requires more than one click to respond.  Sometimes a document scrolls backwards when using the scroll wheel.

 Any solutions?  I checked for updates and the batteries are good.

could you provide the MTM of your mouse and the computer which you're using, is it a Lenovo lap/desktop? If it is, could you provide the MTM for it.

I am using a Lenovo T500, MTM 2242CT0.  The Mouse MTM is 2007DJ4184.

and crosscheck with your system and see if the version is updated or not.

The installed version is 6.2.1.3100 installed on April 17.

could you uninstall the current bluetooth driver that you have installed on your system.

then let windows install its generic drivers. once that is done, try connecting your bluetooth mouse

I uninstalled the Lenovo driver and the generic driver is Microsoft 6.0.6001.18000   21/06/2006

The mouse is identified as HID-compliant instead of Bluetooth.

The files are: mouclass.sys and mouhid.sys

From the short test, the mouse seems to have the same problems plus the wheel has a zoom function instead of scroll (and no side function at all) in Excel.  The wheel scrolls properly in Word and Adobe Reader.

I am using Vista.
