I have used the ThinkPad Bluetooth mouse for two years and have been very happy with the performance.
Recently, the scroll wheel setting sporadically changes from the selected 3 lines per notch to 1 and requires resetting. Shortly after this started, as I scroll, the lines scroll forward as expected and then suddenly scroll backwards. The latest problem is that the left mouse button works inconsistently. Sometimes it requires 2 to 5+ clicks to respond.
The ThinkPad Bluetooth mouse was purchased in October 2008 - Model MOBTC9L.
Any suggestions for solutions?

Hello mate,
First try to update the driver : http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/documen
and see if it solve the problem.

Thanks Vince69. I do have the updated driver and it has not solved the problem. I un-installed the previous driver before installing the update.

Have you got another computer to test it and see if it's not a problem with the mouse itself ?

I don't have another computer with Bluetooth. If there are no other obvious solutions, I will look for another Bluetooth enabled computer.

I installed the most recent versions of:
ThinkPad UltraNav Driver and
ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software
and my Bluetooth mouse seems to be working as expected.
The problem seemed to be context sensitive and not a hardware issue. Happily, I don't need to buy a new mouse...

I spoke too soon. My Bluetooth mouse worked perfect for 2 months but now sometimes requires more than one click to respond.
Any solutions? I checked for updates.
