ThinkPad DVD Ultrabay Slim Burner

I bought an X61 tablet and Ultrabase X6 from a friend, which is shipping now. However, the Ultrabase doesn't have an optical drive. Would I be better off purchasing a Ultrabay Slim Burner (if this can be done) and installing it myself or buying a unit with a burner pre-installed?

Re: ThinkPad DVD Ultrabay Slim Burner

Hi nicktodd, welcome to the forum,

I would just purchase the drive. There is a bay for the drive in the Ultrabase which has a weightsaver in it, just reove it and slot the drive in - couldn't be easier.
