i found the perfekt one - ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint - German 55Y9017
i just got one question - is it possible to change the fn + strg keys like i'm used to at the t410 keyboard?

I also ordered the German version of the "ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint" (links to US version | german version) and hoped I could switch the Ctrl and Fn keys as this can be done on my Thinkpad notebook (X series) with a BIOS setting easily.
Unfortunately, it does not seem to be possible.
I am using Ubuntu Linux and intended to use xmodmap for this. However, X does not even receive events from the Fn-key -- at least, I did not see any using xev. What I find strange is that X in fact does recognize events for both the Fn- and the Ctrl-key of my internal Thinkpad keyboard. Sad this does not work for the USB keyboard.
So, is there really no way and no hope that this might work now or in the close future?
Otherwise, I will send the keyboard back to the vendor. I am very frustrated about this because the external Thinkpad keyboard seemed to be perfect for my desktop and I would have liked to also use a trackpoint there. But as a programmer using Eclipse the position of the Ctrl-key is a showstopper -- ever tried to press Ctrl-Shift-T (or -R, -G) that way? These are commonly used shortcuts in Eclipse and almost impossible without breaking your fingers. Changing the shortcut is not an option for several other reasons.
Any hints? Thanks for your help!

Bummer I thought the ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint was the perfect keyboard until I realized you couldn't swap the Ctrl & Fn keys! (how lame)
The would annoy me to no end so no thanks I'll have to pass.
It's a shame I can't find any other USB keyboards with a trackpoint!
