Thinkpad T400 (6474B86) in Australia, and which WAN Broadband option

HMM says I can use,

1.

Verizon Wireless UNDP BroadBand Option

or

2.

Vodafone HSPA BroadBand Option

But, googling around I see that Option 1. might be locked to Verizon, which means it wouldn't work in Australia ?

Thoughts people ? Which Wireless WAN Broadband card do I get ?

UPDATE - Okay,  I think 1. is definitely not going to work in Australia. But i'll still wait for people's feedback.

More importantly, I think Option 2. is now discontinued.

So, this is the latest WWAN product offering.

....But you srcoll towards the bottom of that 'Overview' MIGR, and it only lists the T410, T410s as support.....

Again, feedback people.  Does it basically mean even if I wanted to buy a WWAN card, for my 6474B86 T400 I can't ?!?

Hello mate,

For the T400 you need the wwan modem FRU 43Y6513. It's the Ericsson F3507g this model is unlocked, means you can use it with any network.

The FRU 43Y6537 is the same modem but locked with AT&T.

The FRU 42T0961 is the Qualcomm gobi 1000 and is locked with Verizon.

But, again, like I said, I think its been discontinued.  MIGR-70333, under section 'Warranty' shows, 'Effective withdrawal date: July 2010'.

And googling around some reseller's state the same.

Reaching out to Lenovo Support staff now please... Am happy to spend the money.  Just tell me a current product, that's in sales cycle, and not discontinued.
