or you could try to take off the fan vane give it a good clean, and then apply high quality sewing machine oil. This should give it some life.

I did clean the fan, but as I said it wasn't dirty at all. I'll try sewing machine method, thanks!

Hum quite conservative with your voice of CPU and motherboard, you probably should get xeon 6 core processors and a motherboard that can support two of them.

If you want to see ultimate in pricing get a quote for top spec IBM server with everything maxed out.
