Possible to swap out R61i hard drive with R60? -- ThinkPad

I have an R61i with a screen that doesn't work and cannot be repaired. I have the option of using parts from a used R60.Would it be possible to take the hard disk drive from the R60i and place it into the R60 that i bought?

Yes, you'll be able to use that drive. That said, some drivers - depending on the exact configuration of the machines - will have to be updated.
