In the device manager, I have a NETWORK CONTROLLER with a yellow ? mark.
I ran a unknown device finder and it came back as: PNPID:VEN_8086&DEV_4220&SUBSYS_27118086&REV_05
When I press FN+F5 I get, "NO SUPPORTED WIRELESS ADAPTER (802.11, WAN OR BLUETOOTH) ARE INSTALLED IN THIS SYSTEM".
I pulled the card and cleaned the contacts, also uninstall all drivers and let Windows xp (genuine copy) do FOUND NEW HARDWARE installer.
I download the new PC Doctor from Lenovo and they loaded all driver for my laptop, still no driver for NETWORK CONTROLLER.
In BIOS, I do have a MAC Address (Internal LAN) and I could also enable or disable the Internal Network Device and Internal Wireless Device.
My model # is 1836-H9U
I down loaded all the software from Lenovo and this one "Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection"
From the Intel website.
Now all works fine.
