Deleting RnR Backups

I currently have 2 RnR backups saved and am prepared to backup again per schedule.  The first message I get is that I have exceeded the allowable backup space.  I increased that allowable space all the way to 10GB and still get the same message.  Next I tried deleting the oldest existing backup but got the "does not have enough space to complete the requested task" message.  I read the 4/17/08 thread but I get the same result no matter which of the 2 backups I try to delete first.  I tried to open the c:\RRbackups file but got the "access denied" message.  I have an R50e running Windows XP.
