I have an IBM Thinkpad R52 laptop (model number 1846AQG) with bluetooth connection is it compatible with the IO Gear bluetooth optical mini mouse?
the requirements of the mouse ask for a bluetooth with HID Profile. (HID means Human Interface Devices, like keyboards and mouse)
I turned on the bluetooth and searched for available services but there is no HID service, there are fax service, etc.., Opening the advanced settings i found in the client services tab the HID service, or at least so is called not HID profile, it sounds strange to me. if there is a bluetooth i think it should include HID. The thinkpad was bought in 2006 so i think the bluetooth release is the 2.0 release or upper i could not find the release from the installed software.
