Help my R500 almost soaked

Gentle men,

My R500 recently was soaked in the bottom with water due to a water leak and my house got flooded. After a week of letting it dry, I am not able to turn ON. I tried to disassemble everypart, but i am not able to make any progress in it. All I could do is just remove the keyboard and the touchpad.

Any ideas where i can find the manual to open it or any suggestions? Thanks.

Vinodh.

Re: Help my R500 almost soaked

your option is limited, most likely your motherboard could have short circuited, it probably is cheaper to get a new laptop then to fix it.

Re: Help my R500 almost soaked

Vinodh, welcome to the forum,

Ouch! :smileysurprised: Not a nice thing to happen.

The situation with your R500 doesn't sound too promising, but certainly worth trying to rescue what you can. You can find the Hardware Maintainance Manual here. It has all you need to know.

Hope this helps, and good luck

Andy
