L412 docking detection

I've been using a TP L412 now for a while. I have the impression that the pre-installed "docking detection" consumes quite a bit of computation power (and time!) during Windows startup. I do not use a docking station, so I was wondering if there is a way to turn this software off. I assume that it does not fulfill any function for somebody not using a docking station. Is this correct? I've not found any information on how to disable it on the Lenovo pages and elsewhere on the web, so I would be glad for any advise on the issue. Thanks in advance, Eike

Re: L412 docking detection

what OS are you running? Win 7?

Press windows key (on keyboard between alt + ctrl) + R.

Search for msconfig, in the services or startup tab, it should allow you to switch off that apps during the initial startup.
