L512 keyboard issue

I got a brand new L512 at work but it has a problem: randomly the keyboard (italian layout) gives wrong types, ex if i type "i" i get "+i", by pressing "p" i get "èp", with "t" i get "rt" and so on. i have the same problem with both windows 7 and linux while using an external keyboard the types are correct. Do you have any hint?

i would like you to go to http://support.lenovo.com and then perform a system update of your unit to update the bios and firmware of the unit.

at the same time i would like to know the layout of the keyboard is physically italian or was it software set via the control panel>keyboard?
