L520 Memory slots. 2 or 4 ?

Hello All!

I have ThinkPad l520 785952g. All documentation and datasheets provides me with information what laptop have 2 memory slots with max summary 8 Gb , each slot max 4gb

Lenovo Solution Center and think vantage toolbox utilities shows me 4 slots with maximum 16Gb , 8 gb max per slot.

So , my question : where is right info and where is wrong. If laptop really have 4 slots , where can i find 2 additional slots (currently i have documented 2 slots on back panel filled with 4gb each)

you got 2 slots, with 2 x 8 gigs max capacity.

Hmmm , So , can you explain , please, why lenovo software displayed 4 ? Some kind of preinstalled hardware? MB with 4-ready but 2 of them not wired?

not sure why it display that. But L520 and L420 only have 2 ram slots.
