I was just wondering if this is normal or other people are sharing the same problem as me.
I just received my laptop a week ago and it is what I call close to perfection. The problem that I have is that everytime I set the battery to 'maximum performance' I hear this sound coming out of the laptop. At first I thought it was from the speakers because its very close to the same sound you hear when your headphone is attached to the computer at loud volume while your CPU is processing. When I change the battery usage settings, the sound goes away.
This sound is very annoying as it is loud enough for me to notice. its very high pitch at a low frequency sound.
any solutions?? should i worry about this?? could it be some kind of problem that will screw me over in a year or two.

Hi n4d3r,
It is the intel processor that is whining, very common on recent laptops:- http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&
I think there is no need to worry as long as your R400 works fun.
Hope it helps.
