Preinstalled RAM in a R60

I bought my R60 about two years ago, with 1GB RAM preinstalled. Is there any way to check how much RAM is in each bay without opening up the unit? (i.e., 512MBx2, one in each bay; or 1GB, with one bay left open)

Go to "warranty" section of Lenovo's site and type in your ThinkPad's info. On the page displaying the status, click on "parts originally shipped with this system" and you'll be able to see every component of the system, RAM included.

Under the "Serviceable?" column, though, it's marked "NO" for the RAM. What does that mean?

Well, you really don't repair RAM sticks...you just replace them.

Although I already know that some people would disagree...but that's how this issue is dealt with for the most part.
