R50e ram upgrade

hi

I tried to upgrade my notebook ram. It has 512 mb ddr 266mhz ram.and I bought 512mb ddr 333 ram.But the laptop didnt see it.

1-Can I run these rams at the same time?

2-Does their speeds make any problem?

3-After i installed the new ram Should I make any  operations on access blue ibm part?

this is what it uses PC2700 DDR-333 SODIMM 333MHz take the 266 out and see if the 333 works

The R50e requires PC2100 or DDR-266 memory.   Some PC2700 modules may work, but only if they are 'soft clocked' and allow the computer to run them at PC2100 speeds.  

You are better off buying the correct speed modules to begin with.  See this site for correct specifications RAM:
