Hi and welcome to the forum Kiba!

Installing drivers for older lenovo systems can be a little bit tricky, to successfully install them you're required to go to C:\Drivers.... and find the appropriate folder to which each driver has extracted itself during the initial setup, and then need to run .exe setups from there.

Hope this helps.

Re: R51 Reinstall help

So you don't get an error for the wifi and it just doesn't work?

Suggestions:-

1. Press F1 to enter the BIOS when the system boots, then do this: Config -> Network -> Internal Wireless Device -> Enabled, make sure the device is enabled and not grayed out.

2. Install Hotkey features, reinstall the wifi driver, verify which driver you have been installing previously? Following is the one for your R51:- Intel PRO/Wireless 2200bg, 2915abg Mini PCI adapter

Once installed, restart your ThinkPad, press Fn-F5 on the keyboard in Windows to enable wifi's radio.

For display driver, following is the driver you require:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-59866

If it doesn't install, then you would need to update your BIOS beforehand as suggested on the above page:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-55003

Keep us informed.
