Reinstall Vista on dualboot (R61i) without losing Ubuntu

I would like to know if the entire hdd will be erased when I reinstall Windows Vista with R&R, or just the partition that holds Vista ( SW_Preload (C ). My hdd is split up in a total of 4 partitions: 1 that holds the Lenovo R&R (at least, that's my best guess, the Eisa-configurated partition), 1 with the SW_Preload and two other primary partitions for Ubuntu. So when I reïnstall Vista with R&R, can keep the last two partitions?

If you restore the laptop from the Recovery partition, you will lose the other partitions containing the ubuntu. You would need to reinstall the laptop using a windows vista installation discs.

When I use a the discs, I would be able to reïnstall Windows without losing the other partitions? Can I use the disks i made with R&R or do I need an official disk (Which I don't own)?

You need an official vista installation disc. The RR disc wont do.
