Reloading ThinkPad Utilities

Hi all,

I had a HDD die in the R series.  I had no Recovery disk.  I purchased a new drive, now need to reload the ThinkPad utilities. 

1. Is there an online document to follow to reload them all?

2. Other than purchasing a Recovery CD, is there a way to get all the utilities online in one "package" for this model (R32)?

3. Once the OS is up, would it be as easy as loading System Update 3.10 and letting it do all the work??

If you do not have access to recovery CD's the easiest way is to reload your operating system and then install System Update from here. System Update only installs ThinkVantage Technologies and Lenovo/IBM software/drivers. So your preloaded copy of say Norton AntiVirus won't be there. System Update works well, however just like Windows Updates, make sure you run it once, twice and three times to make sure you have the latest versions of everything
