Upgrade L512 CPU with INTEL i7 3612QM

Hi!

I have lenovo l512 with i5-520m CPU on PGA988 socket. Unfortunately I have to buy a new CPU fro my laptop, so I looking for some suitable quad-core i7. :smileyhappy: If it possible.

I found that INTEL i7-3612QM has the same socket ( PGA988) and TDP (35W) as i5-520M CPU with pretty good performance.

 

Can I put it on my L512`s motherboard?

Is there any hidden pitfalls?

Looks like there this CPU not compatible with this intel h55 motherboard
