Very Low Volume R51e

I am having issues with very low sound on my R51e, I have all the volume sliders everywhere on the computer and I still can not hear, I have plugged in some external speakers into the computer and that helps a little but inorder to hear I have to turn it up so high the sound is practically drowned out by the white noise from the speakers themselfs. I have attempted to reinstall the drivers but I am having no luck. Can someone on here let me know what to do to fix this issue.

Discard any software problem related first. You can do the latest test and using a Live CD (for example, Ubuntu) to discard ANY WINDOWS problem.

If the problem persist, maybe you have a hardware problem. In this case (if your laptop still under warranty) you must to call customer support to solve this.
