1802 - unauthorised network card

hi, i have a Lenovo SL 400 with the wireless g mini-pcie card

 

i recently bought a mini-pcie wireless N card. when i removed my old card and placed the new one in

i get the message 1802 unauthorised network card please remove

 

i have seen some solutions posted but most links were dead, from a while back

 

if someone could help me bypass this it would be great

if anyone knows how to eiher disable whitelist or change the ID of the card to soemthing on the whitelist, then it would be great,

 

 

THANKS! i really dont have the option to go and buy another card

There is a solution posted here:- http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=55837, but it's not for SL series. I think the solution to your problem is buying the wireless N card directly from lenovo rather than third party vendor.
