Change get rid of 1 min lock

I just bought a Thinkpad SL410.

For some reason after 1 min my computer locks (i.e., it goes to the login screen but does not log me off).

I've been playing with the power settings and can't seem to get rid of this. I even changed everything back to default settings. My wife's user account on the same computer doesn't have the same problem.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi- I had the same thing- I did not have  screen saver activated-but went thru power options etc.. decided to check that- sure enough- had a 1 min resume- I disabled it and working fine- good luck!
