Defrag Hangs

I Have an SL410 with Windows 7 Professional. When I run the disk defragmenter on Drive C it always hangs at 35%. I have run Chkdsk and Disk Cleanup and checked the task manager to make sure that the disk defragmenter is the only program running.

Which defragger are you using? Windows built-in? If so then try using any of the followings and report back:-

Hello and thanks for the information! I did try Auslogics Disk Defrag and it worked well. Faster than the Windows utility and it did not hang. The Windows defrag still hangs after I ran Auslogics.

I will keep trying to find what the issue is for the Windows Defrag. Guess becuase I am stubborn. Great to have a solution in the interim though! Anyone have a problem with the Windows defrag hanging and find a solution?
