It is too bad that the SL body is just plastic. Other than that, the SL seems to be a powerful machine!

I own a T42 and an SL400, and the SL400 is every bit as stiff of a chassis when you pick it up by a corner as the T42 is.  It may well be that the slightly thicker body of the SL400 (1/4" or so) allows lenovo to make a frame as stiff as the T42, I don't know.  But it feels very solid to me.
