Fn keys do not work after sleep

I have an SL400 with Windows Vista installed. I put the laptop to sleep a lot to avoid the long start-up time. This is normal sleep and not the combination of hibernate/sleep. Every time I return from sleep the Fn keys don't work. This includes the volume control. Any ideas?

I have an sl500 with vista as well.  same problem. volume controls don't work off keyboard, nor does function keys.

this is a major issue for me as a student...I'm constantly using the sleep function.  I hope this issue is acknowledged and resolved immediately.

I'm sending my computer back soon to get this looked at, if no progress is listed here.  Good luck Darkninja!

I have same problem with SL 500 with Win XP sp3, but also Fn functions does not appear on screen.
