LAN is not working after rebooting laptop (XP & Vista) for SL Series.

Question

My LAN connection is not working after I reboot my laptop.

Answer

You would need to downgrade the LAN driver via step provided below.

 

Download Windows XP version here

Download Vista version here

 

Once the order driver has been downloaded, uninstall the current installed LAN driver on your laptop first then follow the step below to install the previous version.

 

Windows XP Steps

 

  1. Start Windows XP and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\ETHRTK.
  3. Click Start, then click Run...
  4. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK. Example: C:\DRIVERS\ETHRTK\SETUP.EXE
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  6. Click Finish to reboot the system to complete the installation.

Windows Vista Steps


  1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
  2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\Vista\ETHRTK.
  3. Click Start, then click All Programs.
  4. Click Accessories, then click Run..
  5. Specify SETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK. Example: C:\DRIVERS\Vista\ETHRTK\SETUP.EXE
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  7. Click Finish to reboot the system to complete the installation.
