Movies - read shows as green

I have a SL500 with the high res screen and the nvidea graphics.  The screen is excellent in normal mode with excellent rendition of still photograph colours - but try watching a movie and all the reds are green.  I have tried different resolutions and different refresh rates and found no difference.

 

I hooked up another monitor and things got stranger still.  Not only did the other monitor show the colours correctly but the SL500 did whilst the other monitor was hooked up.  As soon as the other monitor was disconnected the reds went back to green.  

 

The panel driver is the Lenovo ThinkPad LCD Monitor version 2.1.0.

 

Can anyone help please?

try reinstalling the video driver.
