I believe the shortage is over. My first order got canceled, so I decided I'd wait for the delays to end. They appear to have ended, so I ordered today, and used the Student Discount and that eCoupon, and got a great deal, even added in the Laser Mouse, which is on sale too. I really hope this works out for all you guys who hammered though this. I'm lucky not to be in a rush. =)

I ordered the SL300 series on Aug 29/08 and now they they delayed it to Oct 03/08. That is more than 30 days already. Everytime when I call I get different stories about the delay. I really don't know why Lenovo is delaying the shipping and how this can affect their reputation.

I will cancel my order if it does not ship by Oct 3/08 for one last time.

been working with mark_lenovo on it.  apparently there's supply problems with the gloss case pieces at the moment.  go figure :-),  I don't really like them anyway.  55 days, woot.  Do I get some kind of medal for waiting so long?  Maybe a laptop?

shipped!  66 days.. wow, I want my medal.  When it's scheduled to arrive it will have been 72 days.

btw... starting from about day 20 my order was on the 'critical' list.
