Thanq for the update. Did u pay extra for 2nd shipping/Expedited Shipping? And did u make the request for Win-XP or ask fr any additional features?
IN your post, u had mentioned Tracking Number......meaning......is this UPS/CanadaPost tracking number/
And call them at 866 968 4465 and confirm if thats the correct tracking number, and ask them if ur product was shipped as a part of a bulk shipment

AAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!! I dont frikking believe this!!!! I logged into https://www.lenovoorders.com//orderstatus and the Estimated ship date has been changed from June 8 to June 22
WTF?? Dont these idiots at Lenovo ever care about individual buyers such as us! How dare they treat us like this? Isn't there an end to this nonsense? Can I complain to BBB or Consumer Affairs or anything at all??
Shame on Lenovo.....cheap shmucks......they have a factory in China.....and a call center in India.......and nothing in N. America.
And the stupid call center in India is open from 9AM-7PM (M-F).
I better call and cancel today at 9AM, and order a Lenovo /w Win XP from www.JR.com

Glad to hear a happy story in this mournful thread.
Mine arrived today as well, after about 3 1/2 weeks altogether.
I'm still not entirely happy with the order and shipping process, especially since the promised $50.00 discount din't materialize but I can't be bothered to follow it up.
As for the machine itself, I'm quite pleased with it. For the price, it's solidly built, quite capable and well thought out. I was concerned that the glossy VibrantView screen might be a bit of a pain but I really like it.

Good Morning!
I ordered a new SL400 a few days ago, and just realized the estimated shipping date is 08/03/2009. Does anyone know of any way that I can speed that up? A certain number to call, or person to talk to? Normally, I wouldn't have a problem waiting, except I leave for school either the 2nd or the 3rd. It is completely neccessary I have it by then at the LATEST.

The computer was ordered on 6/17 and had an estimated ship date of 7/1. I received a shipment notification the afternon of 6/26. I received it 3 business days after the shipment notification.

Carolina, good luck with that. If you want it by a certain time, you should cancel and re-order from newegg.com or another retailer that doesn't suck. You could get the laptop from newegg in 3 or 4 days for probably the same price. Speaking from experience, I bought an sl300 from lenovo direct b/c I had some discounts by doing so, and I had to wait over 2 months when I needed it for school. Every 2 weeks the shipping date would move up 2 weeks. However, because I complained so much I received some compensation for it changing price and me having to wait so long. I love the laptop, but it wasn't really worth the wait.
I just think lenovo doesn't care about the individual yet, and the tone in the shipping messages hasn't changed.

I just noticed on my credit card statement that Lenovo has given me a credit of roughly 10% of what I paid for my SL400.
I am now a happy and satisfied Lenovo customer.
And the machine itself has been performing flawlessly.
