Hello folks,
I've got a Thinkpad SL510 that will not fully load windows. I get the following message:
Stop. C000021a {Fatal Exception Error} The initial session process or system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000000 (0xc00000001 0x00100ab8)
I've tried repair, pulled the drive and ran repair utilities including checkdisk, but still no changes. I can't find my backup - think it;s ona drive that's in storage and I can't find my recovery disks. The fingerprint security module was active so I can access my user files which is all I really need at thi time and can do a clean install once i find my recovery disk. I do have the opion of a factory reset but will lose all of my data as I understand it. Any thoughts or assitance will be greatly apprecaited.

Actually, It is 32 bit I beleive not 64 bit. I can access the recovery parition as well as the WIndows 7 partition on the drive.
TIA,

No, that's the problem: I ican't even get into safe mode, last known good configuration doesn't work. I've got one piece of data on the drive that I really need of course, but since I had security activated I can't access it by dropping the drive onto another system. If I could get that off, I'd just run recovery and restore to factory defaults.

I just used the fingerprint reader. The user folder is locked so I can't access my documents folder. Documents and Settings Folder shows a lock and I can't change permissions through the properties menu.
