As I unplugged my laptop yesterday, after a few minutes it completely turned off and wouldn't turn back on until I plugged it back in. Is it possible that my battery died on me? Now instead of waiting few minutes to turn off while unplugged, it loses power automatically when unplugged.
My laptop is only a year and a half old.
I'm not sure what to do. Has this happened to anybody else?

I checked for that and it says that my battery is in good condition.

I don't know how to do that.
Oh but here's something new.
My battery now says there's 84% remaining - getting lower everday.
Also, the battery light on the front of the laptop isn't lit anymore.

I'm afraid I don't have that option.
My battery is at 81% (keeps decreasing everyday), says "the battery is in good condition". There's no option for Battery Maintenance.
I took a screen shot. But I don't know how to post it.

Hi Pecenamell,
SLx00 series doesn't have such option in the Power Manager.

You can try different (good) compatible lenovo AC adapter, in some cases it's the bad adapter causes this, adapter is inexpensive while compared to the battery.
