SL400 Nvidia GeForce G 105M brightness issues

I have an SL400 running Windows 7.  Lenovo System Update is telling me that I need to update my video driver from version 7.15.11.7930 to 8.15.11.8678.  The problem is when I perform this update (I have since rolled back) my screen is very dim and no matter how high I turn the brightness it is a shadow of its former self.

Has anyone run into this issue?  Is there something I need to change in the BIOS maybe?  No software options (either through Lenovo Power Manager or Windows) can make my screen vibrant again.

Updating BIOS is a tricky task and should be done expertly otherwise there may be a BOOTING problem. U just only install the VISTA 64 bit NVidia Driver. I am sure your problem will be solved. Reply to my suggestion.
