Hi!
I am experiencing a kind of computer/software malfuntioning using my Thinkpad SL500. I am running on Windows Vista Home SP2.
On start up, I am getting a message that LControl has failed to work. Also, the following keyboard keys do not work with Fn Key:
F2 - locking computer
F3 - Battaery
F5 - wireless communications
F7 -prsentationdirector
F8 - toauchpad/ouse
F9 - utility eject
Also, the four blue ba buttons on the left part of the keyboard are also not working.
Lenovo Care - but lighted
Volume up
Volume down
Mute
I have re-installed Hotkey driver and ATK drivers from the lenovo site but I do experience the same problem up to now.
I would appreciate if somebody can help me with my problem.
Thanks.

Have you installed ALL the latest drivers? As far as I can tell, there may be many connections among drivers for those laptops.
If you have installed all the latest drivers, try to uninstall the hotkey and ATK driver, restart the computer, install it again and restart again. If this doesn't help, well... you may have a problem.

Hy.
I experience allmoust the same problem, on an SL500 too but under Win xp.
The Fn keys are working only the volume up, down and the mute button is dead.
The system is working because with the volume ajustment on my keyboard vorks everiting fine.
Have the latest updates all inclusive.
Is there a posibility to turn these keys on and off in bios, or something like that?
