SL500 Graphics Card issue

I purchased an Avid "Dazzle" to transfer some of my Analog video camera Hi-8 to my SL500 to make a DVD.  After many, many hours with the Avid help desk they now tell me that the Dazzle will not work with the Intel Graphics card that is in my SL500.  Is there a way to upgrade the card or is there something else that can be done to make this work?  Maybe an external graphics card?  Thank you for your help.
