Hi,
I bought me a new t9550 CPU. It should work fine with my Lenovo SL 510 Type 2847-7MG, as it is supported by the chipset. I updated the BIOS to the latest version, too. And ... my Laptop boots fine, Windows detected the change and reconfigured and everything seems fine. But the fan will not start. Realtemp shows a temperature of -26 Degree. Of course I cannot work with a CPU which is not cooled...
Any help or idea? Perhaps it would do to change the model-number (via BIOS Update)?
Or is this a hint for a defect of the termal sensor? (I do not get any error messages, neither from the Bios nor from the OS (Win 7 64 Bit)
Any help is welcome
Edit: some additional info:
chipset
--------------------------------------------------
Northbridge Intel GM45/GM47 rev. 07
Southbridge Intel 82801IM (ICH9-M) rev. 03
Mainboard Model 28477MG (0x000001A0 - 0x0045E7E7)
via TP Fan Control it is at least possible to control the cpu-fan manually... but TPFC.62 says CPU Temp n/a...

Hi lead_iorg,
thanks for replying. It's a new Chip... but from Hong Kong via ebay, so there is some chance.
