Hi and welcome to the forum!
What is 7 character product number of your ThinkPad? It looks like 2668-KHU and can be found on the back sticker.
Base system device is usually card reader.
Keep us informed though.
Maliha (I don't work for lenovo)
ThinkPads:- T400[Win 7], T60[Win 7], IBM 240[Win XP]

I have a similar problem on my new lenovo x230 (type 2325-78G)
The audio is not working, neither in (microphone) nor out loudspeaker or external phones that I connected..
The troubleshooter says that there is no driver installed for Base System Device, I found it in the Device Manager and under Properties I find
"PCI bus 2, device 0, function 0
The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver"
I did this but it comes back and says that Windows cannot find any driver.
