Use of integrated web camera

I recently purchased an SL510 with Windows 7 and it has an integrated web cam which I had hoped to be able to use when he leaves for college.  I have found the configuation box (function-F6) but I cannot figure out how to use the camera, e.g. establish a call.  Feeling pretty inadequate.
