My laptop was able to access the internet via my wireless internet connection just fine until a few days ago when it completely stopped working. I can't even view the wireless adapter in my hardware profile anymore. I'm able to connect wired but not wirelessly. I've reinstalled access points, but it didn't help. Nothing has changed in my setup to cause this to stop working.
Any ideas?

Hi!
Did you check the small switch on the right side of the SL510?
Here you can turn off WLAN,BlueTooth and the GSM (if applicable), all at once.

Hi jenniferdowns,
Welcome to the forum!
I suggest uninstalling Access Connections first and then reinstalling drivers for your wireless card. If still no go then try running lenovo thinkvantage system toolbox test on the wifi card:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-73
Also try booting in the BIOS to see whether it is even being detected by the system.
Hope it helps.

Had the same problem with a 1 week old SL510. Still trying to figure out what is going on even after re-installing the driver. Could it be due to update from Microsoft? I have Microsoft Security Essential installed, as the only extra system software on top of Lenovo default software.

I have the same problem with a SL410, less than a month old. Just stopped working, same issue.
Which wireless card did you have installed?
As for Maliha's suggestions, none have successfully worked. ![]()

So, here is what happened...for me anyway. After 5 phone calls into support and dozens of troubleshooting steps (including reverting back to an older profile on the machine), I finally had to send it in. Apparently the adapater just went bad.

Bad batch possibly?

Hi aussiexodus,
Is the card even being seen by the BIOS?

From what I can see... No. But I'm not 100% sure where I'm meant to be looking.
