Wireless is insanely slow under XP - any solutions?

Hi all, I have a SL500 I got a few weeks ago, and since Vista Basic was awful I did a clean install of XP on it. Everything runs fine, and I've got all the drivers installed from the Lenovo website - but wireless is amazingly slow. I have no idea why this is, and I've tried uninstalling the drivers and using other ones from Lenovo, but to no avail.

 

I've noticed that others are having the same problem as me - has anyone found a solution yet?

 

PS - I know it's not my wireless router, as no other laptop seems to have this problem - just this one.
