Wireless problem with lenovo sl400

I bought lenovo sl400 and I had a problem with the wireless connection

I took the laptop to so many technician and finally I was told that lenovo is known to have a very weak wireless connection

so did the company came up by anyway to solve that problem

What are you trying to connect to? A wireless router in your home? A wifi hotspot? Please be more specific.

a wireless router at home which is in the same room

to be more specific
there's a connection but sometimes it's very very weak.
other times it's good
the connections keeps cutting every 5 or 10 minutes which is bad when i'm downloading a file

i also have another Thinkpad R52 laptop where i have never had any of these issues with and it's working perfectly

It actually identifies two potential fixes. The first being a power management adjustment and the second being a bios update.

Which wireless adapter do you have in the SL500? A ThinkPad branded card, Intel Wifi 5300?

ThinkPads are generally the best when it comes to wireless signals.
