camera problem in all windows . Creation of the Video preview failed.

when i click on webcam icon in my computer this error appears

Creation of the Video preview failed. please check the device connection and make sure that device is not being used by another application or user.

my notebook is Thinkpad SL500c  4414-W3H

i think my camera is D-max STK-2135

i installed the latest driver in website 6ack18ww.exe http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-69973.html

i format my hard drive and install windows seven, windows vista sp2 ,windows xp sp2 ,windows xp sp3

but in all windows the bottom error appears. (Creation of the Video preview failed)

i searched this error in google and do everything in froum and websites but nothing changed.

i installed  yawcam but  nothing changed the yawcam can't do anything.

please help me how can i solve this problem.

Appears like lenovo needs to update it's camera drivers for SL series and Microsoft needs to do some fixing here too.

 i do “regsvr32 /u qcap.dll & regsvr32 qcap.dll”

 rename my  usb video camera to Intergrated Camera in control panel scanners and cameras.

 regsvr %windir%\system32\qdv.dll

 i installed the latest directx 9 (DirectX End-User Runtimes 9.27.1734 Redistributable (August 2009))

 i installed the latest vga driver  (6adk04ww.exe) (Display (NVIDIA GeForce G 105M) driver and Audio driver (NVIDIA HDMI Audio) for Windows XP - ThinkPad SL300, SL400, SL400c, SL500 and SL500c)

 i used yawcam

but still  usb video camera is in device manager and this error  (Creation of the Video preview failed. please check the device connection and make sure that device is not being used by another application or user.)

in windows xp .

i install & reinstall manualy & automatic the setup driver (6ack18ww.exe)

i reinstall my windows to sp3 and agin to sp2 and again to vista ultimate sp2

but  still  usb video camera is in device manager and this error  (Creation of the Video preview failed. please check the device connection and make sure that device is not being used by another application or user.)

in all windows.

but my problem is on all windows  win xp sp2 and sp3  x86, win vista sp2 ultimate x86 ,win 7 ultimate x86

If you've installed Vista or Windows 7 and recently gone back to XP or perhaps even dual booted, the reason for your webcam not working is due to the Vista/Windows 7 drivers modifying the actual firmware of the webcam. Try using the Vista/Windows 7 driver in windows XP and see if that solves the problem."

i think this problem occured when first time i install windows vista on my sl500c,after that the camera did't work.

i think the driver in vista change my camera firmware and after that it show as Usb Camera ia all windows and did't work even on vista.

problem is the driver for the xp and vista is the same "6ack18ww.exe"

and i can't  install vista driver on xp, bytheway the setup_chk.exe did not run on any os.

is there any firmware that i can reflash my camera firmware to last version or version that work in windows xp???

please send me firmware..??
