problem with the Integrated camera for lenovo sl 500 with windows 7

Hey guys! I have lenovo sl 500 and ive recently installed windows 7. The problem is that i can't open the integrated camera. The thing is that it switches on automatically when i'm using skype, and the device manager shows me that the camera is recognized as well...so it looks like i don't need drivers and the camera works. I just need to find out how can i start it, can somebody help me...? thank you in advance:]

Hi skakalet,

There is no 'ON' or 'OFF' button for the camera. You will have to use a third party program like yawcam to use it.

The Integrated Camera Software is in fact camera driver, it does not give video conferencing capabilities [like taking pictures or recording videos] to our systems. To actually start camera one has to install third party software.

I have problems with my camera too! I was skyping and suddenly... Everything disappeared!

I tried to install the software but I receive a message saying "integrated camera not found". I try device manager too and the integrated camera is not there, I tried add new hardware too, but it does not find anything... Could you please help?

Details:

- Lenovo SL 500 laptop, type: 2746 - AMG - hope it makes sense

- Operation system: Vista

Welcome to the forum!

Is it enabled in the BIOS? If so then there could be some hardware issue with it like a blown fuse or something. If under warranty I suggest getting it serviced.

Hello I´m new in the forum and I need help. My camera works but my Image is blur, I don´t know how to contrrol the lens. I mean if I can set the lens, maybe I would be able to get a better image of me.

I click on cameras and scanners, after that I click on integrated camera, Then Properties give me only two options: General and Administration of color. I don´t have here an option to manage or set the lens, to get focus in it.
