service - SL400 Not Booting [ Edited ]

I have sl 410 laptop which is getting displayed, but not booting , not even entering ibnto bios,

please help me.

I may be having this same problem as well.  It hangs on the Thinkpad screen and will not boot.  It's on an SL410.

check your usb port and see whether they are damaged or not.

Yup, one of them is damaged.  Do I need to replace it in order for it to work?

just make sure the none of the pins are touching each other to create a short circuit. The laptop will work once the pin in that broken usb no longer touch each other.

You are right, that was the problem.  Thanks so much for your help!  I was ready to pay and get it repaired.
