I would like to know your opinions/experience on using third-party DNS servers from Norton, Comodo, OpenDNS, Google, etc. in place of your default ISP DNS. Many of these offer automatic filtering for phishing, malware, porn and more.

Hello DAF
You may add these DNS server as alternate while using your own DNS server setting
These DNS server may use as primary DNS also however the browsing speed may be effected.
Best Regards,
Tanuj

Thank you!
From what I have read, Google offers their DNS servers as a "faster" alternative only. Since most malware today comes from the internet, my interest is to get increased "security" when using a third party DNS. Faster connections would be an extra plus.
Currently I am testing Norton with settings to block malware, phishing and scam sites plus porn sites.
Preferred DNS: 198.153.192.50 Alternate DNS: 198.153.194.50
I have to disclose that in some 30 years of using personal computers I have never been infected with malware. I also know that the bad guys are getting more innovative especially over the internet.
I will share my experiences in due time.
